Heavy-Duty Ground Grid for Gravel Driveways & Horse Paddocks

Eliminate mud and ruts with our DIY-friendly HDPE permeable paver. Engineered for superior drainage and mud control, it locks gravel in place to provide truck-rated load support for parking areas, farmyards, and access roads.

  • Install up to 5,000 sq ft/day (≈465 m²/day)
  • Load rating: 500 kPa (≈10,440 lb/ft²)
  • Service life: 10+ years
  • UV • freeze–thaw • ammonia resistant
  • Recyclable HDPE • panels reusable
Heavy-duty ground grid installation for gravel driveway stabilization
What it is

An interlocking honeycomb grid that stabilizes soft, muddy ground. Panels lock on all four sides to form a continuous, durable mat—ideal for permeable paving and ground reinforcement.

How it works

Cells and under-grid channels move water vertically and laterally for rapid drainage, while the textured surface provides slip resistance and load distribution.

Where it’s used

Horse paddocks, gateways, wash bays, tracks, parking areas, access paths, pedestrian walkways, and temporary roads—anywhere mud, rutting, or ice is a problem.

How to Install

  • Clean & Level
Remove organics, mud, and standing water. Grade with ~1–2% crossfall for drainage. Compact sub-grade to firm consistency.
  • Plan Direction
Set lines and finished levels. Plan edges and cuts. Align interlock (“linked”) direction with paving or fill direction for optimal performance.
  • Start Installation
Begin from a straight, fixed edge. Orient tabs with paving direction; mallet to interlock; keep rows straight; trim to fit.
  • Fill & compact
Backfill with sand, stone dust, or fine gravel in two lifts. Compact flush with the grid surface (avoid >3–5 mm overfill). Top up after initial use if necessary.
  • Surface Finish (Optional)
Add turf, seed, or cover with aggregate (e.g., crushed stone). Water and protect until established (~4–6 weeks for turf).

Note: Aligned interlock + fill direction = faster assembly, tighter joints, smoother finish.
